What type of Sausage does Hardee’s and Carl’s JR use?

If you’re a fan of Hardee’s or Carl’s Jr, then you might be wondering what type of sausage they use in their dishes. They actually make their own but we have tried many and found that Johnsonville sausage is the closest you can get at home!

This premium sausage brand is known for its high quality and delicious taste, making it the perfect choice for these beloved fast food chains. So next time you’re enjoying a delicious breakfast sandwich from Hardee’s or Carl’s Jr, be sure to thank Johnsonville for making it possible!

Homemade VS Store Bought Biscuits

There’s nothing quite like a warm, flakey biscuit straight out of the oven. But let’s be honest, sometimes we don’t have the time (or energy) to make them from scratch. So what’s the verdict? Are store-bought biscuits worth the extra money, or is it worth it to go the homemade route?

Let’s start with a quick comparison of ingredients. A typical recipe for homemade biscuits contains flour, baking powder, salt, butter, and milk. Meanwhile, the ingredients list for a popular brand of store-bought biscuits includes bleached flour, sugar, shortening, baking soda, salt, monocalcium phosphate, calcium sulfate, and corn syrup solids.

As you can see, store-bought biscuits have a few extra ingredients that you might not have in your pantry. But does that mean they’re automatically worse for you? Not necessarily. While some of the added ingredients (like sugar and corn syrup solids) aren’t exactly healthy, others (like calcium sulfate) can actually be beneficial because calcium sulfate can be used as a calcium supplement in the fortification of bread and flours.

So what about taste? This is obviously a personal preference, but we think homemade biscuits just can’t be beat. They’re flakier and more flavorful than their store-bought counterparts. Plus, there’s something satisfying about knowing you made them from scratch!

Of course, taste isn’t everything. We say it’s worth it to splurge on homemade biscuits every once in a while but if you’re short on time or energy, store-bought biscuits can definitely be a convenient option.
