Cast Iron Smoked Potatoes AuGratin are perfect add on when smoking just about any meat. They are made with thinly sliced potatoes, cheese, and a creamy sauce that is perfect for any occasion.
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat the butter in the cast iron.
In a large bowl, combine cheddar cheese, cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Stack the potatoes in the pan and pour the mixture on top. Then top with the cheese slices or other cheese.
Cook for at least 25-30 minutes at 300 or higher or until potatoes are tender and golden brown. You can also cook longer at a lower temp. Use a fork to determine doneness.
