Southern breakfast bowls are the perfect way to start your day. They are made with grits, eggs, and sausage, and they are both delicious and nutritious.
Precook the grits. You can cook the grits while the rest is being cooked.
In a frying pan or cast iron, add one tbsp of butter and saute the peppers and onions.
Meanwhile mix the eggs with milk and stir until combined.
Add the sausage and bacon when the onions become translucent and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and wipe down the pan.
Then scramble the eggs until done.
In a bowl, add the grits on the bottom, then the meat and pepper mixture on top. Then add the scrambled eggs. Top with cheese and serve!
