- Place the desired number of eggs in a single layer in the Instant Pot's steamer basket. You can cook as many eggs as the basket can accommodate without stacking.
- Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot. The water is essential for creating steam during the cooking process.
- Close the Instant Pot lid, ensuring the steam release valve is in the sealing position.
- Set the Instant Pot to "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" mode.
- Set the cooking time to 5 minutes for medium-sized eggs or 6 minutes for larger eggs.
- Press the "Start" button on your Instant Pot, and the cooking process will begin. The Instant Pot will take some time to build pressure before the actual cooking time starts.
- Once the cooking time is complete, allow for a natural release for about 5 minutes. This means leaving the Instant Pot undisturbed after the timer goes off.
- After the natural release, carefully turn the steam release valve to the venting position for a quick release of any remaining pressure.
- Using tongs, transfer the eggs to an ice water bath. This helps stop the cooking process and makes the eggs easier to peel.
- Peel and Enjoy!
