1tablespoonSweet Baby Ray's Sweet 'n Spicy BBQ Sauce
1teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Start by heating a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
Add the sliced smoked sausage and hot dog pieces. Let them cook for a few minutes until they start getting browned around the edges.
Stir in the diced onion and peppers. Sauté everything together until the vegetables soften, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
Pour the baked beans directly into the skillet. Stir in the brown sugar, Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet 'n Spicy BBQ Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Mix everything together and remove from the heat.
Place the uncovered cast iron skillet on a smoker preheated to 250°F. Smoke for approximately 1½–2 hours, stirring once or twice, until the beans are bubbling, thickened, and have picked up some smoky flavor.
Remove from the smoker and let the beans sit for about 5–10 minutes before serving. They'll thicken a little more as they cool.
