This seafood lasagna is a rich and flavorful dish that brings together the best of the ocean with layers of creamy cheese, tender seafood, and a blend of marinara and alfredo sauce. It’s an easy yet impressive meal, perfect for special occasions or a cozy dinner at home. The combination of shrimp, scallops, crab, and fish creates a delicious medley of textures and flavors, while the zucchini or squash adds a fresh balance to the creamy layers.
Tips for the Best Seafood Lasagna:
- Use Fresh or Frozen Seafood – If using frozen seafood, make sure to thaw and drain it well to avoid excess moisture in the lasagna.
- Pre-Cook the Vegetables – Sautéing the onion, bell pepper, and garlic before assembling the lasagna enhances their flavor and prevents a watery dish.
- Balance the Sauces – Mixing marinara and alfredo creates a rich, creamy base. For a lighter version, use less alfredo or mix in a splash of broth.
- Shred Your Own Cheese – Pre-shredded cheese contains anti-caking agents that can affect the texture of the lasagna. Freshly grated cheese melts smoother.
- Let It Rest – Allow the lasagna to rest for at least 10 minutes after baking. This helps the layers set and makes slicing easier.
This dish is a seafood lover’s dream, bringing together bold flavors and creamy, cheesy goodness in every bite!
