There’s nothing more patriotic than a red, white, and blue cupcake, especially when it’s topped with an American flag. This easy recipe is perfect for Memorial Day celebrations or any other patriotic event.

How to make Easy American Flag Cupcakes:
Bake cupcakes per recipe and cool completely and gather your ingredients.
Use the blue frosting to pipe star shapes in a square in the top left portion of the cupcake as shown below using a star tip like the Wilton 18 Star tip.
Then alternate using the red and white frosting to pipe the stripes, beginning with red.
Continuing until the cupcake is covered.
Place white sprinkle stars in the blue section. Repeat for each cupcake!

Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix + additional ingredients per instructions OR your favorite recipe
- Frosting One canister or homemade
- Wilton 18 Star tip
- White star sprinkles
- Food dye
Instructions
- Bake cupcakes per recipe and cool completely
- Split the frosting into three bowls and dye one bowl red, leave one white, and one blue. Add each to a separate piping bag.
- Use the blue frosting to pipe star shapes in a square in the top left portion of the cupcake as shown.
- Then alternate using the red and white frosting to pipe the stripes, beginning with red.
- Place white sprinkle stars in the blue section.
- Enjoy!
