It’s the weekend, and there is nothing better than having a great meal prepared in next to no time. This recipe for Instant Pot Alabama White Sauce Chicken Sliders will give you that satisfaction! In this post we are using pressure cooker to prepare the sauce, but if you don’t have an Instant Pot or other trusted pressure cooker then use a saucepan on the stove!

This is one of our family’s favorite meals ever! It takes very little prep work and it is full of flavor. This Alabama white sauce recipe is super simple and we love it!

What is Alabama White Sauce?

For those of you who do not know, Alabama white sauce is a certain type of barbecue sauce made famous in the southern states. It uses mayonnaise as its base and it’s usually heavily spiced. You can even top with our homemade Refrigerator Bread & Butter Pickles!

How to MakeĀ Instant Pot Alabama White Sauce Chicken Sliders:

Place the chicken in the instant pot. Add 1 cup water or chicken broth. Place the lid on the instant pot and turn the valve to the sealed position. Press pressure cook or manual button. Set cook time for 40 minutes. This allows the chicken to shred easily from large boneless chicken breasts.

Alabama White Sauce Chicken Sliders

Once the instant pot stops counting release the pressure. Drain the juice from the pot and shred the chicken.

Mix together all the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl for the sauce. Whisk well making sure there is no lumps. Place in fridge until ready to use.

Place chicken on the solder bun and pour the Alabama white sauce over the top and top with top slider bun.

  • 4 to 5 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup water or chicken broth
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 2 teaspoons raw horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Slider Buns
