I always try to come up with new recipes for breakfast. I get bored of the same old bacon and eggs, so I love finding ways to reinvent classic flavors into something exciting.
This breakfast pizza is one of my favorites—it’s hearty, easy to make, and still includes all the breakfast staples I love, like sausage, bacon, and eggs.
Using a premade crust saves time, we actually keep these Golden Home premade crusts on hand because they are SO easy and low carb! They make it easy to have pizza just about any time!
The best part is you can easily modify it to use what you have on had – it’s a great use for leftovers! Fried chicken breakfast pizza? Yes please!
Tips for Healthy Breakfast Pizza
- Crust Options: Use a whole-grain or cauliflower crust to keep it lighter and higher in fiber.
- Make It Spicy: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or drizzle with hot sauce for a little kick.
- Protein Options: Swap turkey sausage or bacon for chicken sausage to mix it up.
- Customize the Base: Try using a thin layer of hummus or a light cream cheese spread instead of ricotta or yogurt.
This hearty breakfast pizza is loaded with protein and perfect for a satisfying start to your day!
10 Minute Breakfast Pizza
Equipment
- Oven
Ingredients
- 1 Ultra Thin Pizza Crust
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese as the base – can use gravy
- 1 cup shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
- 4 eggbeaters or real eggs scrambled
- 2 tbsp bacon cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup cooked turkey sausage crumbles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chives or parsley optional, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the cottage cheese on the crust.
- Add the scrambed eggs. Break them up small to cover the entire pizza. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the base, then top with the crumbled bacon and sausage. You don't need a lot of meat for this one!
- Scramble the eggs – entire microwave for 2 minutes, stir and microwave a few minutes more. Or you can cook in a skillet.
- Season with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. If you use the crusts I suggest they don't take long at all!
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh chives or parsley. Slice and serve warm.
