Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with water, and place on the stove. Once the eggs are boiling, turn the heat down to medium-low. Or you can use our Instant Pot method.
The cooking time will determine the density of the yolk:
- 4-5 minutes is needed for soft-boiled eggs
- 6 minutes for custard and hard-boiled eggs
- 7 minutes for creamy hard-boiled eggs
- 8 minutes for hard but still creamy eggs
- 9 minutes for very hard hard-boiled eggs
We boiled for seven minutes.
Place the eggs in a saucepan or bowl of iced water for 10 minutes. This is to help the shells peel better.
While the eggs are boiling and cooling, form circles of different diameters of cabbage, cucumber, and pickled pumpkin.
You can use culinary syringe attachments, and beverage straws to cut them out. Get creative any little opening like these will work!
Peel the eggs. Make holes in the egg whites. Fill the holes with vegetable slices.
Place the eggs in a special tray. Spread salt around the eggs.
