Kamado Joe Smoked Baked Potatoes
I love smoked baked potatoes and I wanted to share how I smoked mine in my Kamado Joe. Makes it an easy side when you are smoking meat anyways like our Smoked Gouda Meatloaf or our Kamado Joe Smoked New York Strip Roast. Just throw them on at the same time!
How long does it take to smoke a potato at 225 degrees?
Can you tell if a smoked baked potato is done with a thermometer?
Yes, yes you can. The internal temperature should be right at 210 degrees F. The potato will continue to cook once you remove it so if you know they are going to sit and be kept warm you can pull them at 185 degrees. We like this one…
Why do you wrap baked potatoes in foil?
Foil allows the potatoes to steam inside the foil and stay soft. If you don’t wrap them the potatoes will dry out.
Smoke this along our Kamado Joe Smoked Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin or our Perfect Smoked Prime Rib for an awesome easy meal!
